This Privacy Policy explains how Yotsu (“the App”, “we”, “us”), published by Florian Charnacé, handles information when you use the App. We have designed Yotsu to respect your privacy by default.
Yotsu does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the App needs to function — your puzzle progress, your streaks, your statistics, and your settings — is stored only on your device. None of it is sent to us or to any third party.
We want to be explicit. Yotsu does not:
To make the App work, the following information is saved locally on your device only, using your device’s standard local storage:
This data never leaves your device through the App. If you delete the App, this data is removed from your device. It may be included in your device’s own backups (for example iCloud or Google backups) if you have enabled them; those backups are controlled by you and your device provider, not by us.
If you enable the optional daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. This is handled entirely on-device and does not involve sending any data to us or to a server.
Yotsu offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, “Yotsu Plus”. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (and, where applicable, by Google through Google Play). We never see or receive your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy. The App only stores, locally on your device, whether Yotsu Plus has been unlocked.
If we later use a purchase-management service (such as RevenueCat) to verify purchases, this Policy will be updated to describe what limited, non-identifying purchase information is processed for that purpose.
Yotsu is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no personal data at all, it does not gather information from children either.
Because we do not collect or hold any personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You remain in full control of the locally stored data, which you can clear at any time by deleting the App or clearing its data in your device settings.
If the App’s data practices change in the future (for example, if optional analytics or online features are added), we will update this Policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before the corresponding feature is released.
